Jean-Pierre Braganza Jumpsuit | Schuh Shoes | Marni Jacket | Prada Handbag
Urban Code Skirt and Jacket | NAF NAF Jumper | Schuh Shoes
There’s a number of reasons not to like London Fashion like err, being papped because you’re sat behind a celebrity; heavy goody bags filled with more coconut water than you can physically drink (#firstworldproblems) and the overwhelming urge to wear a mini skirt in February not to mention the fact that no one has a clue what the gold star means on their ticket (sometimes it means you bypass the queue, sometimes you have to wait in line and get a slapped wrist for even asking). Really?! Yes. Even our feet don’t like it! Our poor hooves are made to run about from show to show in high heels and sometimes they have to combat cobbled streets and broken glass at the after parties. I mean it is a jungle out there!
This is my 3rd year visiting LFW and this year I’ve wised up. Big time. I leave the goody bags alone, there’s a flat pair of shoes in my handbag, I’m sporting a jumpsuit and I know exactly what’s going on with the guest list. BOOM! Needless to say I had a lot of fun at LFW 2015. Here’s my part one of my lowdown.
I got ready in style
Brand new luxury beauty app, PRIV kindly provided me with professional hair and makeup artists to spruce me up in the comfort of my own home. Amazing. ThenI started my day with a positive TV meeting over a breakfast of poached eggs on toast. Yum. Then, it was show time. FROWing at the Gyunel show (where British pop princess Ella Eyre did a pre-show music performance which was sensational), at the PPQ show (where my friend Ashley James was strutting her stuff down the catwalk) and then my personal favourite, Jean-Pierre Braganza show at Somerset House (where a strange man catwalk-bombed to take a cheeky selfie with the models).
Gwen Stefani’s Sloppy Seconds
Jean-Pierre Braganza kindly dressed me for the show in a jumpsuit that (for now at least) is the only one in the world. Lucky me. I’m so glad that onsies are fashionable, even if it does force you to strip every time you nip to the loo. Apparently, the jumpsuit I wore was made with Gwen Stefani in mind and I’ll take her hand-me-downs any day of the week. As you can see I teamed it with a fresh pair of studded heels from Schuh, a Marni jacket and a Prada handbag (containing the flat pair of shoes I never actually wore).
Daisy Lowe, Erin O’Connor, Nicholas Hoult were all Hungry!
After a quick outfit change it was time to head to the W Hotel for the Hunger Magazine party. Erin O’Connor, Daisy Lowe and Nicholas Hoult were among a few of the hot attendees there to celebrate Hunger’s ‘We’ve Got Issues’ launch not to mention my squad of beauties. After dancing to MNEK’s DJ set and sipping on cocktails I’ve been feeling a little delicate today but tomorrow I’ll do it all over again.
Enjoy London Fashion Week and find out what I got up to last year right here.
