Reebok + Les Mills ONE LIVE | Manchester

What happens when thousands of people gather under one roof to exercise? Something magical!

The world's largest provider of choreographed exercise to music, group fitness classes, Les Mills and Reebok teamed up to create ONE LIVE, a global fitness tour and I was lucky enough to be asked to be apart of it as a host.

I joined in the fitness fun on the day of the ONE LIVE UK tour finale in Manchester and as a newbie to this event, I wasn’t fully sure what to expect other than a sea of people doing exercise classes. It was that but also, so much more.

Body Combat

Thousands of people arrived at Manchester Central on a Saturday morning, ready to punch, dance, flex, and zen their way through eight hours of group exercise and the atmosphere was electric. It was so uplifting to see so many people come together, thoroughly excited to work out.

ONE LIVE Manchester

People queued and ran into classes, just so that they could be at the front of the class to see some of the worlds most elite instructors and whilst the attendees were a range of instructors, fitness newbies, men and women of different ages and abilities,  everyone there was so dedicated and happy to be working out alongside one another. Needless to say there was a real sense of camaraderie.

The classes ranged from Yoga to dance, cycling to aerobics and even weight training classes, all under the Les Mills titles of Body Attack, Body Jam, Sprint, GRIIT etc. The workout timetable was jam packed and I wondered how on earth, everyone would have the stamina  to partake in so many classes. Somehow, all attendees had this contagious energy.  I was buzzing too! Gotta love them Endorphins. 

Les Mills x Reebok Host AJ Odudu

Now, be prepared for a gushy moment. My highlight of the day was welcoming the Body Pump team onto stage in front of hundreds of people before partaking in the class myself. The energy was electric and I loved every squat, lunge and bicep curl. That many people in one room moving in unison felt empowering and at the end of the class all I wanted was to do it all over again, and I wasn't the only one.

Thousands of people across the UK have already experienced the electric atmosphere of the Les Mills and Reebok ONE LIVE tour. Now the ONE LIVE magic has seeped into my veins forever. I'm proud to have been apart of such a spectacular event and I'm excited for more fitness action next year. Bring it on!
